THE MERGE
Hey merge family...hope everyone is doing well going into the New Year. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that came out to support and bring in the New Year with us. Also, those individuals that gave of their time to help bring everything together, you guys are awesome...thank you. Watch night service was beyond anything I expected. The word of The Lord was given by Pastor Gracie McCoy, Pastor Murphy and Bishop Murphy. Praises were lifted up and blessings were overflowing in the crowded sanctuary. And if that wasn’t enough, a special surprise was revealed promptly at the stroke of midnight. Mike and Jessica pledged a union of love and devotion in an impromptu ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful, congratulations!
This past Sunday, Bishop delivered a powerful message…
"I don't know what your circumstance is, I don't know what your situation is but you have to walk in grace to make it through." Immediately, several members stand to their feet in concurrence. So many times we go through trials and face harsh tribulations and falter because we lack the strength to walk in grace by faith. In every word Bishop uttered to the congregation, I began to understand why so many times things failed in my life and in those around me. "Many of you are on the verge of failure. And you’re at that verge of failure because you lack strength."
Bishop reiterates, “You can’t come to church expecting a double blessing. You can’t expect Bishop to preach you happy. You have to walk through it by yourself, and know the grace God has placed over your life will get you through.” Amen and amen…
Hearts are mended; spirits are lifted and restored when you receive a message from The Lord that specifically touches on areas in your life. I’m always astonished how God knows us so well. He knows our traits, characteristics, habits and always finds a way to show us what we need to do. Bishop speaks to those with a doubtful spirit, “Some may say, ‘what if I’m already depressed, already crying midnight tears. How do I get strength?’” BE STRONG! You’re falling short because you fail to be who you are. There is a grace, power and anointing when you start walking in who God created you to be. And how do you start walking in your purpose? Just decide to do it… don’t contemplate or plan on it, SIMPLY DO IT!
Scripture reference:
II Tim. 2: 1~3 (NIV)
1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. 3 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
