What's up Mergers?

If you guys haven't been able to make it to the mount these past few weeks, you have been missing out on some life changing words.  Bishop has really been challenging some traditional thinking and causing us to see things differently than ever before.  Don't miss out!  But just in case you weren't there, we won't leave you hangin'.  Here are notes from the last two Sundays

Message notes.

Easter Sunday

We must make sure that we're living in an atmosphere that's conducive for growth and production.  The single most important thing to live in that atmosphere is your faith reality.  You're going to be willing to clear out your present atmosphere (let the past be the past and be willing to move on to new paths, new opportunities and new thoughts).  Everything that God does, He does it by faith.
Productive living is only accomplished through faith.
Life has to be all about faith.  Faith is a crucial subject; central to Christian living.  Religion and faith are two different things.  Many think that their religion is their faith.  This is an area where the enemy has pulled the wool over the eyes over the believers.  Your church attendance has nothing to do with your faith.  Religion is the service and worship of God or the supranational.
There is a corporate faith (religion) and then there is your personal faith.  We tend to concentrate more on our corporate faith than on our personal faith.  Anyone can participate in the ritual of your denomination, but that doesn't mean that you have faith.  This condition must change if we are to become productive citizens in the kingdom.
You must know what you believe in a religious faith but also what you believe in a personal faith.  Your faith goes deeper than just being Baptist.  Full gospel won't save you but your faith will.
So many believers are missing the mark because they are living out of system or religion and not out of faith.  Because you do it without faith, even though you go through all the motions you cannot please God.
There is a false idea of faith.  Christians have too often allowed the world and false teachers to define biblical truth.  Many have grown up with these perversions of biblical faith and become weary in the faith because it didn't work.  They thought they had faith, but never had biblical faith.  Subsequently they become disillusioned.
Many have the idea that faith is some mystical, invisible attribute.  Faith is simply believing what God said because He said it.  Faith is not some personal power that causes things to happen.  It isn’t some energy that you can pull up and will things to change.  Faith is not making yourself healed.  It is a conviction trusting in what has been said that operates on the character and will of a person.  You can't think your way to faith, you just have to believe it.
Faith is not just believing something and stopping there.  Biblical faith is acting on what you believe.  Faith only becomes faith when you start acting on what you heard.
Biblical faith has all to do with your acting out the word of God.  We have to get to the place where we are no longer just preaching the word, but where we are living what we preach.  Biblical faith is action and based on belief in God.
Real biblical faith is rooted and grounded in the reality that you are living what you heard. You must stop simply believing the word and start acting out the word.
Where there is no action, there is no faith!

Your religion does not obligate God to do anything. It's your faith that obligates God to move.

Palm Sunday
God wants your worship.  He truly desires your worship.  More importantly, he deserves your worship.  This is a time that we must take worship to the place of Gods expectation of what it should be.  Many of us have a very small view of what worship really is.  It’s a strategy of the enemy to keep you in this constrained view of what worship really is.  Worship is more than just noise.  Worship is literally a lifestyle.
God is expecting that we worship no other god but him.  He is a very jealous God.  Without the proper lifestyle we'll find ourselves worshiping anything.  Worship is an everyday thing.  It can't be confined to our Sunday experiences.  If you’re going to worship God you have to have the lifestyle to back it up. Your worship in the sanctuary means nothing if you don’t translate it into your lifestyle when you get home home.
It's time for the church to experience a break out in the area of worship.  Too long have we been constrained in this place when Jesus came to release us from the place.  Many believers only worship when they come to "the place" (sanctuary).  It's time for you to extend your worship.  Our worship in the sanctuary has little to do with God because God doesn't need to be pumped up; he already knows who he is.  Worship is more for us than it is for God.
Evangelism is the winning or revival of personal commitment to Christ.  Everytime you say "God I love you," you're reaffirming your commitment to him.  That's what evangelism is.  Evangelism is a militant or crusading zeal, persuading others to believe what you believe.  When you worship God, someone next to you will hear that God is a healer and a provider.
Worship becomes your willingness/openness in speaking out.  It’s an open testimony to those who don't know him like you know him.  God is looking for a people to go forth in acts of worship and not just in times of worship on Sunday.  You have to pin point an object for your worship, a time for your worship, a person for your worship.  God is looking not for an in house worship but rather an out of house worship.  Anybody can come to church and lift their hands and declare the greatness of God, but few people can go to the market place and lift those same hands to proclaim God's greatness.
It’s time to break the mode of in the church worship.  It's almost as if God is saying "I'm tired of her saying she loves me.  If you really love me, tell someone else about me."  The day of the four wall ministry is over.  The epitome of your your worship is when you take it to your house, workplace, and to the streets.  God is ready for his name to be released to the four corners of the earth, not just the four corners of the sanctuary
You're expecting this awesome presence in church, but the annointing that he's placing on you is not for the sanctuary with Bishop Murphy, but for the streets.  God's trying to release a presence to you, but the only way to obtain it is to take your worship from the sanctuary to your marketplace.
We are living in a season where everyone is coming out of the closet except for the believers.  The world has made it acceptable for everyone to express themselves yet the only place you can find believers expressing themselves is in church.  It's time for us to tell it.
